Within the framework of building and developing the cooperation in Research and Training between the two units, the Key Laboratory of Enzyme and Protein Technology (KLEPT) and the Faculty of Biology – VNU University of Science in Hanoi in collaboration with the Infectious Biology and Zoonosis Research Center – School of Medicine- Wonkang University, Republic of Korea, co-organise the Symposium with the title: “Tropical Diseases and Zoonosis” on 12/15/2017 at Hilton Hanoi Opera, No. 1 Le Thanh Tong, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi.
Attending the Symposium, there are international guests including Prof. Park Hyun, Director of Infectious Biology and Zoonosis Research Center – School of Medicine – Wonkang University, Assoc.Prof. Dr. Seon-Ju Yeo (Assoc. Seon-Ju Yeo (Center for Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases, Wonkwang University), Dr. Chris Ka Pun Mok (Hong Kong University); and Dr. Hye-Sook Kim (Okayama University of Japan).
On the side of the VNU University of Science, there come Prof. Dr. Phan Tuan Nghia – Vice Rector of the VNU University of Science and Director of KLEPT, Dr. Le Quynh Mai – Vice Director of National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (NIHE) and all teachers of the KLEPT and visitors from NIHE.
The main content of this Symposium is to exchange and discuss results achieved in the application gene technology, Enzyme and protein technology in disease diagnosis (especially infectious diseases in tropical countries, avian inluenza H7N9 or Zika disease, etc.). At the same time, the strategies of development combined with the technology to create kits in order to quickly detect the presence of pathogens and collaborative research plans. The next issue will also be discussed during this Symposium.
The reports at the Symposium took place in exciting atmosphere by updated knowledge, business sharing experts and opening discussions between the reporters and attendees. Symposium ends at 17h30pm at the same day.
